COALA’s WP1 continues to advance translational research in lung cancer. The DOPPLER-LC project (Development Of Patient-derived organoid PLatform for Evading Resistances in Lung Cancer, PI: Antonio Maraver), recently funded under the TRANSCAN-3 call, focuses on the development of organoids derived from patient-derived xenografts (PDX).

This initiative aims to provide innovative preclinical tools to better characterize Minimal Residual Disease (MRD), anticipate tumor relapse, and identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities. The project involves collaboration with the teams of Olivier Calvayrac (Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Toulouse) and Julien Mazières (CHU Toulouse), strengthening the translational impact of the work.

Complementary projects are being structured around this effort, fostering collaboration across the COALA network and supporting translational research in lung cancer.
